Corporate bank account opening in the UAE. One file. No back and forth.
Opening a UAE business bank account usually means weeks of emails, repeated document requests and no idea where your application stands. We're bringing it into ComplyUAE: one bank-ready KYC file, one account manager, and live status until your account is active.

Banks don't say no. They ask for one more document.
Most UAE corporate account applications aren't rejected outright. They stall. A missing shareholder document, an unclear source of funds, or a business profile that doesn't match the license, and the bank goes quiet or asks again. Meanwhile you can't invoice clients, pay staff or run payroll. A complete file from day one is what moves an application forward.
From documents to active account, handled for you
Corporate bank account opening is launching on ComplyUAE soon. Here's what it will include.
Bank readiness check
For new companies, free zone setups and businesses whose earlier application stalled or was declined.
Coming soonBefore anything goes to a bank, your account manager reviews your license, ownership structure and business activity the way a compliance team would, and flags anything likely to slow things down: a mismatch between activity and expected transactions, missing UBO details, or gaps in proof of address.
What we'll check
- License activity against your real business
- Shareholder and UBO structure
- Source of funds and source of wealth
- Expected transaction volumes and countries
- UAE presence: office, lease and visas
What you'll get
- A list of gaps to fix before applying
- Guidance on which documents a bank will expect
- A clear view of how ready you are
KYC file and application
For mainland and free zone companies opening their first account or an additional one.
Coming soonUpload your documents once. Your account manager organises them into a complete KYC file, helps you prepare a clear business profile, and supports the application through to submission. Shareholder profiles and documents are reused, so you never send the same passport copy twice.
Documents banks usually ask for
- Trade license and certificate of incorporation
- MOA or AOA and share certificates
- Passports, visas and Emirates IDs of shareholders and signatories
- Proof of address for the company and shareholders
- Business profile, contracts or invoices
- Source of funds evidence and bank statements
What we'll handle
- Organising documents into one KYC file
- Business profile and expected activity summary
- UBO and shareholder profiles
- Application submission support
Follow-up until active
For everyone who's ever wondered whether their application is still being looked at.
Coming soonOnce your application is in, the bank's questions come to your account manager first. They prepare answers, request anything extra from you through the portal, and keep your status updated until your IBAN is issued and online banking is live.
What we'll handle
- Bank queries and additional document requests
- Meeting or video KYC preparation
- Status updates in your dashboard
- Signatory and access setup once approved
What you'll see
- Each stage of the application in real time
- Every message on record in the portal
- Your bank documents stored in your vault

What documents do UAE banks ask for to open a corporate account?
Typically the trade license, certificate of incorporation, MOA or AOA, share certificates, passports, visas and Emirates IDs of shareholders and signatories, proof of address, a business profile and evidence of source of funds. Requirements vary by bank and by your company's structure.
Can a free zone company open a UAE bank account?
Yes. Free zone companies can open corporate accounts with UAE banks. Banks will look at your activity, ownership and UAE presence, so a clear business profile and complete KYC file matter as much as for mainland companies.
Why do UAE corporate bank applications take so long?
Usually because of incomplete or inconsistent KYC: missing shareholder documents, unclear source of funds, or expected transactions that don't match the licensed activity. Each gap leads to another round of questions.
Do shareholders need to be in the UAE to open the account?
It depends on the bank. Some require signatories to attend a meeting or complete video KYC, and many prefer at least one signatory with a UAE residence visa. Your account manager will tell you what to expect before you apply.
Does ComplyUAE guarantee my account will be approved?
No. Approval is always the bank's decision. What ComplyUAE does is make sure your application is complete and consistent, which removes the most common reasons for delays.
Can I use ComplyUAE for other services while I wait?
Yes. VAT, corporate tax, trade license renewal and visa services are available now. Start a 14-day free trial and your documents will already be in place when banking launches.
